The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken an interest in 2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server during her stint as Secretary of State.
Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, confirmed to the Washington Post that he was contacted by the FBI and questioned about the security of the private email server she used as well as the security of a thumb drive which contained several copies of Clinton’s emails.
The FBI also contacted a Denver-based technology firm which helped manage Clinton’s server, asking them similar questions regarding the server’s security.
The FBI’s interest in Clinton was piqued in July after the intelligence community’s inspector general referred the issue to the Justice Department.
